The consultant performed cross-tabulations of related variables to ensure consistency, and investigated the internal logic between related variables and corrected any mistakes before actual data analysis. During the analysis descriptive statistics were generated for each indicator to show frequencies, proportions, and averages.

Thematic coding and analysis was conducted for qualitative data collected through FGDs and KIIs, and it involved identifying passages of text that were linked by a common theme or idea and then indexing the texts into categories to establish a framework of thematic ideas.

The consultant reviewed data to delineate aspects directly relevant to the assessment questions and objectives then conducted thematic coding by examining and recording themes/patterns across data sets that were important and associated to specific research questions.
