The AF 2 project acknowledges the urgency of addressing urban health dynamics, recognizing the need for tailored interventions to bridge existing gaps among diverse communities. The AF 2 project, attuned to the nuanced needs of communities in post-conflict settings, seeks to enhance resilience by promoting optimal health practices and fostering a supportive environment.
The study sought to unravel insights regarding health, nutrition, and hygiene practices. The overarching goal was to provide a multi-sectoral overview that informs and guides interventions in the area, ensuring their appropriateness, effectiveness, and alignment with the needs and aspirations of the communities. The main objective of the assessment was to establish the status of knowledge, attitudes and practices amongst the communities in Mogadishu, Baidoa and Garowe regarding health, nutrition and hygiene practices and give a multi-sectoral overview and relevant recommendations that will inform and guide inappropriate interventions in the area.
